Winter Power Winning Cornwallis

“We are very pleased to offer four proven stallions at Rathasker Stud for 2021. This year has been a difficult one for many breeders and in acknowledgment of this we have taken the step to reduce or maintain all our stud fees for 2021.” Maurice Burns

Bungle Inthejungle

Bungle Inthejungle has sired Group Stakes winning juveniles in each of his first three crops. This year he has risen to the challenge that faces each stallion in their third crop – the crop before their first runners hit the track – supplying serious quality from only 12 runners. Bungle Inthejungle provided 50% two-year-old winners to runners and this includes the Timeform Top Rated 5F 2YO Filly Winter Power (winner of the Gr.3 Cornwallis Stakes) and one of the top rated two-year-old fillies in France Acapulco Gold. We look forward to 2021 when his biggest and best quality crop is set to run. He will stand for €8,000.

Coulsty

2020 saw Kodiac’s sire sons have their first runners and there is no denying that he is marking himself out as a sire of sires. Of these Coulsty has emerged as the top ranked son of Kodiac based on the important metrics ; his percentage of winners to runners at 43% and on his stock’s average performance rating of 72.9. For a broader perspective this figure places him in exceptional company when looking at the rating produced by current leading stallions in their successful first crops ;  Showcasing 72.7, Dark Angel 67.9, Dandy Man 66.7 and Kodiac 64.1. In terms of Stakes performers to runners, Coulsty is second leading first crop sire with 14%. Gr.3 Princess Margaret Stakes winner Santosha was the leading light of his first crop. Coulsty’s stud fee for 2021 is unchanged at €4,000.

Clodovil and Gregorian, his heir apparent

Clodovil and Gregorian have had an exceptional year. It is quite an achievement for a sire and his son to produce the two joint top rated two year old fillies in France ; Clodovil’s Tiger Tanaka winner of the Gr.1 Prix Marcel Boussac and Gregorian’s Plainchant winner of the Gr.2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte. Clodovil is renowned for a high percentage of Stakes winners to runners and Gregorian looks to be his heir apparent. Both Clodovil and Gregorian will stand for €5,000 in 2021.
