Mac McCarthy Another Winner For Anjaal

Mac McCarthy (Anjaal) won the 1M Nursey at Chelmsford for trainer Richard Hughes. He received a sound ride from Finley March, bagging the rail early from stall six and then letting others run their races before being well produced later, showing real grit to finish off the race strongly.

 

He is a half brother to winners With Caution and Dream Of Delphi. They are out of unraced Kitty Softpaws, a half sister to the Listed Magnolia Stakes winner and Gr.3 placed Miblish and Gr.3 Tetrarch Stakes placed Count John. This is the family of Gr.2 Cherry Hinton Stakes winner Jewel In The Sand. Congratulations to owners R Gander and breeder Ballyphilip Stud.
