Double for Gregorian at Chester

29 Jun 2019

We were delighted to see homebred Gregorian two year old, Sesame Birah win at Chester races for Middleham Park Racing and Richard Hannon. She was selected by Peter & Ross Doyle at Goffs UK Premier sale 2018.  Sesame Birah took the lead over a furlong out and despite hanging and bumping King’s Caper, she stayed on well to frank the form of Go Well Spicy who defeated her on her first start and won again yesterday at Doncaster. Sesame Birah is the first produce of her dam, Limousine, who won over 1m4f and is a half sister to Distain, a Gr.3 winner over 1m2f in Italy. They are out of the family of Gr.1 Racing Post Trophy winner Armiger. Limousine has a yearling colt by Coulsty.

The following day at Chester another homebred by Gregorian, Symphony, showed blistering turn of foot to land the 7f Novice Stakes under Hayley Turner. She is a Tattersalls Book 2 graduate from the family of Listed Premio Coolmore winner Sorella Bella. Congratulations trainer James Unett and owner Paul Steadman!
