Queen Jo Jo wins Kilvington Stakes

12 May 2019

Queen Jo Jo (Gregorian ex River Song) won the Listed Kilvington Fillies Stakes over 6f. The going was soft but Queen Jo Jo has proved consistent on all ground from good to firm to heavy. She was fifth on her seasonal reappearance in the Gr.3 Fred Darling Stakes, she was sent off as favourite yesterday and was pushed out in the final furlong to overhaul Treasure Me by a head at the line. Successful at Beverley on her second start at two, she was then third in the Gr.2 Lowther Stakes. She was bred by Bearstone Stud and is the best of four winners produced to date by the US Stakes placed River Song (Siphon), a half sister to the four time Group winner and sire Allied Forces. This is also the family of Gr.1 Kentucky Derby winner and sire Real Quiet.
