Norman Court Stud are delighted to announce that Coulsty will be joining them for the 2019 season.

The son of record-breaking sire Kodiac, has been standing at Rathasker Stud in Ireland. Coulsty was retired sound of wind and limb having been trained by Richard Hannon. Coulsty won first time out over 5f in May and progressed on to win the Gr.3 Prix de Meautry over 6f, the Listed King Richard III Stakes over 7f and the Listed King Charles II Stakes over 7f, he was also 2nd in the Gr.2 Hungerford Stakes over 7f to Adaay defeating Cable Bay and Markaz.

Maurice Burns, commented, “Coulsty is a typical son of Kodiac in that he was talented and precocious, and like his father he only sires bay foals. Rathasker have a number of very good foals by Coulsty that will be going to all the major yearling sales in 2019. I think this horse will really suit British breeders. Norman Court do a great job with Sixties Icon and I think the two horses will complement each other.”

Tina Dawson of Norman Court Stud said “we’re thrilled Maurice approached us about standing this horse. I’ve always liked him, he’s a typical gutsy, genuine, honest sprinter and at £4,000 he represents real value.”
