09 Oct 2018

Bungle Inthejungle was very much in demand at Goffs having made a blistering start with his debut crop of two-year-olds, with his 24 successful sons and daughters making him the season’s leading freshman sire by number of winners. Roger Marley spent €90,000 to purchase a Rathasker Stud consigned colt ex Nafa which topped the Sportsmans sale, “Bungle Inthejungle has done very well with his first runners. In my opinion he was by far the best colt here today… he was a stand-out.” While the top filly of the day was also by Bungle Inthejungle ; Joe Foley spent €65,000 on Newlands House Stud’s ex Ayr Missile “She’s a nice, strong, good-moving filly who looks a two-year-old type. The sire has done very well from his first crop.” Other notable prices at Goffs for Bungle’s progeny included €62,000 for the colt ex Spinning Ruby to BBA Ireland during the Orby sale and during the Sportsmans €35,000 for the filly ex Changari to Friarstown.
