Es Que Love sires first winner in France

The Matthieu Palussiere trainee Love to Excel became the first winner for his Rathasker Stud first-season sire Es Que Love when saluting in a 1100-metre claimer at Dieppe on Tuesday. Love To Excel was bred by Con Marnane and races in Theresa Marnane's colours, she is the first foal out of Sakal. 

Forwardly placed, although a bit green in the early stages, the chestnut drew off in the final 300 metres to win by four lengths over Mont Marsie. His second dam is a Galileo half-sister to Stakes winners Bermuda Rye and Bermuda Grass, as well as Roystonea  who has already produced G2 Royal Lodge Stakes hero and G1 Racing Post Trophy third Foundation.
