ROPE A DOPE is Bungle's 9th winner at Baden Baden

The Peter Schiergen trained Rope A Dope raced in a close-up third through the early fractions of this first domestic juvenile event of the season. Gaining a narrow advantage at the top of the straight, the 17-10 favourite was shaken up with 350 metres remaining and ridden out late to assert by a length from Molly Massimo, becoming the ninth winner for her freshman sire, Bungle Inthejungle. She is the latest foal and fouth scorer for Listed Dusseldorfer Stutenpreis heroine Ronja (El Corredor), whose first produce is Listed Prix Luthier and Gr.2 Godolphin Mile runner-up Ross (Acclamation). Ronja is the leading performer produced by Royal Sanction, herself kin to Gr.2 Pegasus H. victor Regal Sanction and Gr.3 Santa Yasabel Stakes victress Nonies Dancer Ali.
