Danehill Desert (Clodovil ex Misplace) won the Hamilton Park Auction Novice over 5f beating Camacho chief in a hard fought duel. He is a half brother to Gr.3 Prix de Guiche-third Mayweather and a pair of multiple winners by Sir Percy and Vettori, out of winning Misplace. She is a half sister to the Gr.3 Prix d’Hedouville winner Not Just Swing, the Listed winner Minoa and the unraced pair of Mise (dam of the Gr.1 Falmouth Stakes winner Nahoodh (also Clodovil), grandam of Hawkesbury) and Motagne Magique (dam of the Gr.1 Prix Jean Prat runner up San Marino Grey (also Clodovil). The second dam is the Listed Finlande winner Misbegotten, a half sister to the Gr.1 Prix de l’Opera third Miscast, out of winning Gay Mecene mare Mistreat.
