Mamdood another tough 2yo winner for Clodovil

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum owned two-year-old Mamdood (Clodovil ex Fact) won well at Chelmsford over 7f. The Richard Hannon trained and Doyle Bloodstock selected Clodovil angled out to grab the lead with a half furlong remaining and beat El Cap by a length. Bred by Llama O’Mahony out of Fact who is a half sister to the Gr.3 Boland Stakes winner and Gr.2 Diadem Stakes runner up Polar Way from the family of Gr.2 Lowther Stakes winner Kingscote. Richard Hannon said, “He is a progressive horse and has improved on every run. I will put him away now until the turf season.”
