Two homebred 2yos win impressively within 24hrs & both closely related to Es Que Love

First up was Es Que Love’s Sea The Stars sister, Listen In, who won the Prix Idalie by two-lengths at Maison Laffitte. Congratulations to owner George Strawbridge. This is a family he is very familiar with being that of his Gr.1 Prix de l’Opera winner, We Are. We sold Listen In for 310,000gns at Tattersalls Foals 2014 to John McCormack on behalf of George. Her impressive display has earned her the status of Jour de Galop “Rising Star” and they reported that she was, “a good-looking filly that drew the eye in the parade ring.” Thierry Jarnet explained that “she overcame a wide draw easily and she is fast improving. Being by Sea The Stars she will progress further with time.” Es Que has produced Dominant (Cacique), winner of the Hong Kong Vase (Gr.1) and Es Que Love (Clodovil) winner of the Lennox Stakes (Gr.2) at Goodwood. Then, Es Que’s half-sister Alosi produced Giovanni Battista to win an EBF Maiden first time out at 2 years for Brian Meehan and Sam Sangster at Newmarket. We sold Giovanni for 50,000 at Goffs Orby 2015 to team Meehan. Brian tweeted, “Giovanni Battista showed great scope and potential at home. Great to see it on the track!” Both look serious horses for 2017 and ones to watch.
