Shining Emerald Wins LR Jubilee Sprint

05 May 2016

Andreas Wohler-trained SHINING EMERALD comfortably gained his fourth Stakes success in the  Grosser Preis Der Sparkasse sprint on the 5th of May. Tracking the leaders, he glided up the far rail in the home straight, battling with the leader McQueen until assuming the advantage over a furlong out, running on to score by two and a quarter lengths. The now five-year-old was previously trained by Paul Deegan, for whom he was three-times Stakes-placed and a winner of the Blenheim Stakes, before making the move to Germany where he would find his preferred softer ground. Congratulation to owner/breeder Rabbah and trainer Andreas Wohler.  Die Welt reported that “Shining Emerald has consolidated its position as the best sprinter in Germany.”
