Rathasker grad Drifting Spirit wins 2yo Handicap impressively at Newmarket

Drifting Spirit (Clodovil ex Laureldean Spirit) has won twice now for Richard Fahey. She broke her maiden on the 12th of August and on the 29th of August she won the 7f 2yo handicap at Newmarket. She tracked the leader on the stand’s side and was ridden to lead in the final furlong, winning comfortably. A graduate of Rathasker Stud, Drifting Spirit was sold in Book 1 of Tattersalls last year. She is extremely closely related to another Clodovil filly – Nahoodh – winner of the Group 1 Falmouth and the Group 2 Lowther Stakes.
