Fast Companys Mutarakez lands bet365 Esher

Fast Company's 3yo Mutarakez started the new season in fine fashion after getting his head in front in the bet365 Esher Cup at Sandown. Once in the clear, the Brian Meehan-trained runner quickly drew clear of the field to post a two-and-three-quarter-length victory over the staying on Shaakis.

Meehan said: "He is a lovely horse who looked green at Doncaster last year when he won. He looked a little bit green again today, but he picked up well up the straight and is a nice horse with a big future. I would have thought he would be the sort of type for the Britannia." Congratulations to breeders John Heffernan and Grainne Dooley of Ballygreny Stud, dam Nightswimmer is due to foal to Fast Company in May.
