Dominant 3rd in G1 Hong Kong Gold Cup

24 Feb 2014

Rathasker bred Dominant (Cacique / Es Que) was 3rd to Military Attack in the featured Group 1 in Hong Kong yesterday. He ran home strongly to finish a short head third. John Moore commented Tommy (Berry) got off and said he was very pleased with Dominant. He is entered for the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic. Tommy decribed his run ; "he was doing his best work at the finish and keeps grinding. Whatever he did today the horse will improve in Dubai. Looking foward to seeing Dominant at 2400m again." Previously Dominant was the classy victor in the G1 Hong Kong Vase. It was a trifecta result for Irish breds - representing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

His dam Es Que has a beautiful Star The Stars filly at foot and will visit Galileo this season. Her yearling by Fast Company was sold at Tattersalls Book 1 for £75,000 by Fiona Shaw for Marc Keller.
