Vallado (IRE) (f, 2, Clodovil – Knapton Hill) broke smartly to grab the rail and the early advantage in the two year old fillies maiden at Leopardstown. Kicking early in the straight, she kept up the gallop to score by 2 ¾ lengths. Trainer Eddie Lynam commented “We like her, I thought she’d run well here, she is qualified for the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales S. (at the Curragh Aug. 24), it’s worth a lot of money so we’ll have a go.” Vallado was bred by John McEnery’s Rossenarra bloodstock.
