Clodovil has a double at Leopardstown

The ultra-consistent Ishebayorgrey recorded his third win of the year as he took the Racecourse Of The Year Handicap under Colin Keane for Pat Martin and owner Raymond Moore. The son of Clodovil won a handicap at Dundalk in April and was second on his next two outings before winning again at Fairyhouse earlier this month.

Settled in third he improved into second approaching the straight and was ridden in pursuit of the leader from the two furlong pole. He got to the front over 50 yards from the finish and kept on from there to win by half a length.

Pat Martin said afterwards: "Colin always felt that he was getting there, and he's a horse with great resolution.”

Baby Dinnis was victory in the 'Delorentos' Apprentice Handicap.

The Denis Cullen trained daughter of Clodovil (also the sire of earlier winner Ishebayorgrey) sprang a 16/1 surprise on her second start in handicap company at Dundalk in April.

Settled towards rear she was eighth turning into the straight before making smooth headway to challenge on the outer with under two furlongs to race. She was ridden to go in pursuit of the leader from the furlong pole and hit the front inside the final 100 yards, keeping on well to score by a length.

Denis Cullen said afterwards: "We've spaced out her races a little bit. She is tall and lean, we just wanted to give her a chance. She did a good bit of work during the week, and I was quietly confident that she had improved. She is a progressive filly and who knows where she will end up. Hopefully she can go for a Listed race later in the year."
