Thousand Words
Thousand Words first crop of yearlings realized €41,000, €35,000, €32,000 etc in 2011. His progeny was purchased by some top trainers of thoroughbreds at the European Sales. Such household names as Richard Hannon, David Evans, Mick Channon, Charlie Hills and Andy Oliver.
Clodovil
Clodovil with 26 individual 2-Y-O winners again proved popular with a top price of €110,000 and were purchased by Sheikh Hamdan al Maktoum, Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock (x3), Mark Johnson and David Redvers.
Success
2011 was another successful year for Rathasker. Mrs. Theresa Burns’ horses in training included Princess Banu a 2-Y-O filly (Oasis Dream) who won a £10,000 Racing Post Bonus Maiden at Newmarket. And was just touched off for fourth by subsequent dual Gr.2 winner Caspar Netscher in the Woodcote Stakes (Listed) at Epsom on Derby Day. Fanditha (Danehill Dancer) purchased for only £15,000 won her first two starts and then ran with credit in Group and Listed races including being placed in the Ormond Stakes Gr.3 and the Hopping Stakes (Listed). The ever consistent Barista (Titus Livius) won at Chepstow.
